Privacy policy
Effective date:
This policy explains what information is involved when you use the calculators and guides at percentswift.com, created and published on .
Numbers you type
The calculators run in your browser. The values you enter are used to show a result on your screen and are not sent to PercentSwift’s server.
If you use Copy link, the calculation type and values are placed in the link’s address so the page can reopen with them. Anyone you share the link with can see those values, and when the link is opened, the address is part of the request the browser makes to the web host, like any page address.
What your browser stores
The calculator saves two things in your browser’s local storage, on your device only:
- your settings (decimal places, number format, currency symbol and whether history is on)
- your most recent calculations, if “Keep recent calculations in this browser” is turned on
You can clear the history with the Clear history button, turn history off in Settings, or remove all site data through your browser’s settings. Optional analytics cookies are used only after you allow analytics. Your analytics choice is saved separately in local storage for up to 180 days.
Information the web host records
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, its servers and content delivery network process technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser type, the address requested and the time of the request. Hostinger handles this data under its own privacy policy.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics 4)
If you allow analytics, PercentSwift uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits, traffic sources and time spent using the site. Google processes technical information such as browser and device details and uses optional analytics cookies. Calculator entries and calculation values in shared-link query parameters are excluded from the page addresses we send to Analytics. Campaign tags may be used to identify referral campaigns. Analytics is not loaded until you allow it. You can decline without losing calculator features, or change your choice at any time through Privacy choices in the footer. Withdrawing consent disables tracking and clears analytics cookies on this site.
Advertising and third-party cookies (Google AdSense)
To support the free operation of our calculators and guides, PercentSwift may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and certified third-party advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) and web beacons to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to percentswift.com or other websites on the internet.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. Numbers and calculation values entered into calculator fields are never shared with advertising networks. You may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google’s privacy policy for further details.
If you email hello@percentswift.com, your message and address are used to reply and are kept only as long as needed for that conversation.
Children
The site is a general-purpose calculator and is not directed at children under 13. PercentSwift does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
